A while back I got into an online discussion with  several people about safety in Thailand versus safety in the Philippines. One person believed the Philippines was far safer than Thailand and numerous others tried to set him straight. I was one of those people. I believed Thailand to be quite a bit safer than the Philippines and in this podcast, I'll go over the facts. Which country is safer, Thailand or the Philippines? Religion in the Workplace: 190 Muslims Get Canned

1/4/2016

One hundred and ninety Muslim employees at a beef processing plant in Fort Morgan, Colorado have been fired for failing to report to work, reportedly due to a prayer dispute. Eleven of the employees fired initially requested to take their prayer break together. When their supervisor told them to take their breaks at different times in smaller groups, they agreed to do so, however, once the day was over, they decided to protest by refusing to show for work. Other employees followed suit, and eventually, 190 of the employees, all of whom are from Somalia, decided not to show for work for the next three days. The company, Cargill Meat Solutions, claims the employees were terminated because they violated their "No Call, Now Show," policy.
The terminated employees are now filing for unemployment benefits.
