I was pleasantly surprised, as were Alex and Nicholas. With over 50,000 toys and collectibles on display, there is something for everyone. Batman is the main attraction but you'll find Superman, The Green Hornet, The Hulk, and even superheros most people have never heard of. In addition to the standard action figures, there are trading cards, knives, toy cars and what seems like anything that has ever been made having to do with superheros. There is even a ceiling high figure of Godzilla and a small display of Popeye and Olive Oyl.
Located on Srinakarin Road between Ramkhamhaeng Road and Lad Prao Road, Batcat is basically a warehouse of superhero toys divided into several rooms and two floors. If you have young kids, this place is a must and is a great way to pass a couple of hours. If you're an adult, it's probably slightly less thrilling but if you don't mind taking a thirty-minute ride out to Bangkapi, it's worth a visit.
For the past two weeks, I've been slacking on this site. First, I wasn't sure what to write. Then my Things to Do list became overwhelming. So now I'm playing catch-up. Making videos about men who haven't a clue what to do with Thai women might be entertaining, but as I've said many times, my chief goal in life is not to help these sort of people. Once in a while, okay, but when I get ten page letters from guys, something is wrong.
Here's the the thing; whatever I make from YouTube and this site are used to purchase photo and video equipment and to travel. Making videos about chowderhead men thinking with their wrong head gets me the most views and makes the most money but it's what I least enjoy. What I prefer is making videos about traveling and being on the road. These make the least amount of money, at least for now. I can travel and make less or sit making videos about knuckleheads and make a little more. As I have never been motivated purely for money, to me, it's a no-brainer—travel.
Men Like Oz
Some guys never learn. Some, like Oz the Israeli, ask the same question over and and over again expecting a different answer. Perhaps it is some sort of rite of passage for young men. Who knows. It only took me one video, one email from Oz, to know that the chance of a Thai woman moving to Israel and converting to Judaism is nonexistent.
The guy from Scandinavia asks the same questions expecting different answers, which he will not get from me. He'll say he understands, he knows his girl is a prostitute and he should aim higher–yet in the same sentence he'll talk about paying for an airline ticket to bring his girl over to visit. I got news for him, she's not his girl.
USE CARE WHEN CHOOSING AN AGENT TO HANDLE YOUR VISA EXTENSION!
With the recent tightening of immigration loopholes, visa agents have been among the hardest hit. Turnaround trips to the border have been minimized and this has affecting the bottom line of the agencies, in some cases, even causing their closure. A few agencies have resorted to outright scamming their customers.
"The head of immigration, Lt. Colonel Sakda Chuenpakdee, would like to warn all foreigners to use caution when using visa agencies," said Police Colonel Voravat Amornvivat. "Some agencies are making their own rubber stamps and creating fake visa extension stamps instead of going in to immigration."
Those using the agencies should either take care of the extensions themselves and be certain to use reputable firms. In addition, if there are any concerns about the validity of a stamp, go into immigration immediately and have them verify the stamp.
"We know that the people getting their visa extensions from these agencies are not at fault," continued Amornvivat. "So we would like to warn foreigners about what they are doing." According to Amornvivat, the last few months have seen an increase in bogus stamps and several agencies are being investigated.
