I was pleasantly surprised, as were Alex and Nicholas. With over 50,000 toys and collectibles on display, there is something for everyone. Batman is the main attraction but you'll find Superman, The Green Hornet, The Hulk, and even superheros most people have never heard of. In addition to the standard action figures, there are trading cards, knives, toy cars and what seems like anything that has ever been made having to do with superheros. There is even a ceiling high figure of Godzilla and a small display of Popeye and Olive Oyl.
Located on Srinakarin Road between Ramkhamhaeng Road and Lad Prao Road, Batcat is basically a warehouse of superhero toys divided into several rooms and two floors. If you have young kids, this place is a must and is a great way to pass a couple of hours. If you're an adult, it's probably slightly less thrilling but if you don't mind taking a thirty-minute ride out to Bangkapi, it's worth a visit.
Adult Foreigners - 250 baht
Foreign Children - 150 baht
Adult Thais - 100 baht
Thai children - 60 baht
As someone vehemently opposed to Thailand's dual pricing scheme, I made it a point to walk out of the place if my children or I were charged the foreigner prices. They need us more than we need them. There were no prices shown so my kids asked the prices in Thai. The woman at the front desk looked around as if slightly confused. I then said in Thai, "My children are Thai and I live here." That was all it took. We were given the Thai prices. I did not show any identification, work permit, or retirement visa. My guess is that anyone who asks for the price in Thai or who complains will be given the lower price. We paid 200 baht ($7.35) for the three of us.
7032 Srinakarin Rd., Huamark, Bangkapi
Take Ramkhamhaeng Road until you hit Ram Salee, turn left, and it will be on the left hand side of the street. It is in between Ramkhamhaeng Rd. and Ladprao Rd. If you're coming from Sukhumvit, take the Saen Saep Canal until you hit The Mall Bangkapi, walk along the river, go up the steps at Ram Salee, turn right, and it will be on the right hand side, almost next to the canal.

If you would like to help out Bang, now is the time as I'll be visiting with him again in the next few weeks. Any assistance helps and I'm trying to raise the funds to have him seen, treated, and prescribed medicine by a doctor at one of the better hospitals in Bangkok. I am also going to be contacting two agencies about his ID card. Bang spends the majority of his time in bed so I am also trying to get him a new mattress and boxspring.
