This site is now over two years old. It's gone from being a hobby to a way for me to help people. As An American in Bangkok and An American in Thailand, I have begun to feel somewhat limited. Limited in the sense that many people know me as "the guy in Thailand." What few people know is I have traveled throughout Southeast Asia, in some countries, too many times to count.
At the beginning of the year, I made several New Years' resolutions. The first was to stop swearing. I have cut down and while I may slip once in a while, I'm on track to achieving this goal. Another one of my resolutions was to lose weight. I have lost about 5 kilos but I am nowhere near as fit or healthy as I want to be. So I have some work to put in. Finally, I planned on traveling in 2014 to five places outside of Thailand. So far I have went to two, Myanmar and Cambodia. In November I am going to Laos and in December, there is a chance I will be going to Vietnam or China.
Traveling has gotten a little harder for me as my schedule is busier than I like but I'm getting to the point where I can once again do so more regularly. With my kids, a wife, writing, photography, traveling, a couple of websites, making videos, and physical therapy, my time is limited. However, what I realized is I can use my time more efficiently. Organization and scheduling is key. In the next few weeks you'll see some changes and difference in this site, as well as a new site about my adventures in Asia. In addition to short trips around Thailand, I'll be traveling down the Mekong and to places like Laos, Myanmar (again), Indonesia, Cambodia (again), Vietnam, and also to Mongolia, Kazakhstan and a few other countries.
FYI - Thursday I'll visit with Bang in Klongtoey again. I have a small care package for him and I'm hoping to get to the bottom of why he doesn't have an ID card. Hopefully I'll be able to help him get one and also, help him get seen by a doctor.
Below is my new schedule.
As soon as I finalize my new channel and website I will let everyone know.
