Regular Live Streaming
For the past month I've been giving live streaming through YouTube a go and it seems to be popular. I believe IRL, or In Real Time, is the next big thing. Who knows, perhaps streaming from Thailand and other destinations is what I should be concentrating on. National Geographic brings lion pride hunts and kills from various countries in Africa. So far in addition to live streaming from behind my desk, I have also streamed from The Mall Bangkapi, Chinatown, EM Quartier and Sukhumvit Road. There are many more streams to come, so stay tuned. I am streaming 2-3 times per week and once on the weekend. I'm still trying to iron out the best days and times, however during the week I usually start the streams 9AM BKK time. Weekends may or may not be at different times, however follow me on Twitter or Facebook where I provide the dates and times of the upcoming streams.
This weekend the family will be traveling to Koh Kood (เกาะกูด), which is near the Eastern island of Koh Chang. The island is the fifth largest in Thailand and is situated approximately 40kms off the Cambodian coast. We had planned to go to Khao Sok (เขาสก ), a national park in Surat Thani, however, Beau was given a three night comp at a nice hotel on the island so it looks like we're headed to the beach instead of the jungle. I admit, I am looking forward to getting away and livin' the island life, even if only for a few days.
Three weeks after we come back, I'll fly to Yangon, Burma, where I'll spend a few days before heading to Dawei. Another night or two there, and then I'll work my south before cutting back through Kanchanaburi where I'll take a train to Bangkok. A few days after I return I'll head to Hanoi in Vietnam. I'll work my way down the coast, up through HCMC and into Phnom Penh before flying back to Bangkok.
If you haven't been watching my videos or don't know yet, in April2018 I am off to Africa with my pal Chuck. I am rarely nervous or apprehensive when traveling Asia, but this is Africa, the Dark Continent! We plan on going to six countries; Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania (plus Zanzibar), which logistically is quite a challenge. Every day we work on a few aspects of the trip and slowly but surely it's coming together.
If you would like to help support my continued efforts on this site and on YouTube, there are a number of ways you can do so. Watching my videos, giving them a thumbs up and sharing them is one way. Below are several others.
