Videos of the Week

1/31/2016

Two videos this week. The first is a video I decided to do after seeing Jenna Marbles (a top YouTube earner) read out messages from her haters. I thought mine were bad but the truth is, she gets horrible messages from people simply for doing a show and acting goofy. Those who have met me know that while there is a smidgeon of truth to the personality I display in my videos, it is a show, meant to be entertaining. Anyhow, I read off a few nasty messages from people who have come across my videos.

The other video this week is raw footage of a couple of guys playing Takraw in my neighborhood. In case you do not know what Takraw is, think of it as volleyball played with the feet.  The players are very skilled and play several times a week, but I can only imagine what sort of training  professional Sepak Takraw (the full name of the sport) players go through. It's an exciting game and worth a watch.

Is Thailand Going Down the Toilet?

1/25/2016

Thailand is called paradise by some, a sex tourist haven for others, but in the past few years, the country has seen political turmoil, blatant corruption, tightening of visa regulations, a rash of tourist murders and a changing of attitudes towards foreigners turn Thailand from the Land of Smiles into the Land of Facades. A little more than ten years ago I predicted the influx of tourists and expats would change Thailand forever. Is Thailand going down the toilet as a tourist and expat destination or is the up-to-the-second media presence making it look worse than it really is? What do you think?
